Do you have a pair of climbing shoes that are worn down?

Instead of buying a new pair and having to break them in you can resole your worn ones. A resole often doubles the lifespan of your shoes and can be gentle on both your wallet and the environment.

Below you can see an example of a resole and the answer to some common questions.

Before and after resoling
How do I get my shoes resoled by you?
First you mark your shoes with your name. Then you leave them in the box/locker and fill out this form. Once there are 10 pairs submitted we will pick them up and have them back within a month.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us at resole@klatterpodden.se.

What's the cost?
The cost is 500 kr/pair. Regardless of make or brand.

How long does it take?
When there are 10 pairs submitted we will pick them up and have them back within a month.

Can I get them resoled faster?
If you are in need of resoling your shoes faster it’s possible to send them by mail. Once I get your shoes I will mail them back to you in about a week. You will have to pay for the shipping both ways in this case. Please feel free to contact us at resole@klatterpodden.se.

When should I resole my shoes?
It’s best to do it before there is a hole through the leather. Preferably even befor you have worn through the rubber at the toe (the rand). When you see that the rubber of the sole starts to creep under the rand you know it’s time.

If there is a hole through the leather it might still be possible to resole, but the bigger the hole the faster the repair is going to wear through again.

Will you replace the whole sole?
We do what is called a half-sole repair, where the front part of the sole (the part that you will usually wear down) is replaced. Most of the time I will also repair/reinforce the rand (the rubber that encloses your toes), this does not cost anything extra. See the image below for how a climbing shoe is usually built.
